About ALMHCA

ALMHCA (Alabama Mental Health Counselor Association) is the division of the Alabama Counseling Association dedicated to the needs and interests of mental health counselors, particularly those of Licensed Professional Counselors in our state. We provide our members with a quarterly newsletter that includes clinical articles, annual workshops and professional development opportunities on clinical topics of interest including supervision and best practices, and government/insurance advocacy efforts.

Our mission is to enhance the profession of mental health counseling in Alabama through advocacy, education to the general public, professional development of counselors, and the promotion of licensure.
